1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Bright Steps Behavior Transformation Support ("Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Not Medical, Therapy, or Legal Advice

Bright Steps is educational support only. It is not a substitute for advice from a licensed BCBA, physician, therapist, attorney, or special-education professional. Generated plans (including BIPs) are starting points for discussion, not clinical documents. In emergencies call 911 (US) or your local emergency number; for mental-health crisis support in the US call or text 988.

3. Parental / Guardian Responsibility

You confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of any child whose information you provide, and that you have authority to share that information. You are responsible for how you apply any suggestions with your child.

4. Account & Eligibility

You must be 18 or older. Keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.

5. Payments & Subscriptions

Paid plans and one-time unlocks are processed by Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled from your account page. See our Refund Policy.

6. Acceptable Use

  • No reverse engineering, scraping, or bypassing paywalls.
  • No uploading content you don't have permission to share.
  • No use that violates HIPAA, FERPA, COPPA, or other laws applicable to you.

7. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of the information you submit. You grant us a limited license to process it to deliver the Service. Generated plans are for your personal/family use.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that generated content is accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Bright Steps harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violations. You may close your account at any time from the account page.

12. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved by binding individual arbitration; you waive class-action rights to the extent permitted by law.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced in-app. Continued use means acceptance.
